Daily Announcements for Thursday April 25, 2019

  • Seniors last day will be Friday May 3, however if you have a credit recovery class, an E2020 class, or are doing night school you have until Monday May 6 to get it done. 
  • Seniors: all fees must be paid/cleared by Monday, May 6 or you will not receive your graduation tickets. 
  • Seniors, Baccalaureate will be Saturday May 18 at 5:15 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, you need to wear your cap and gowns. 
  • Seniors:  Overdue notices will be distributed this week.  Please return materials and pay fines before your last day. 
  • Branch Students:  Your branch classes will not be finished until Friday, May 10 and you are expected to attend your classes as usual.  Please contact Ms. Yardley if you have questions. 
  • Students if you are planning to attend Prom you will need your student ID or a power school quick lookup from the office to enter the dance, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! 
  • Attention Seniors, if you are pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in NM, are an active member or if your immediate family is a member of the Continental Divide Electric Education Foundation, you may be eligible for a scholarship. Come by to see your counselor for the Continental Divide Electric scholarship packet. Deadline to turn it in is May 1, 2019. 
  • The last day to check out library books will be Friday, May 10.  All materials need to be returned by May 17.  Please pay any outstanding fines before the end of the year. 
  • Navajo Language Adult Classes are being offered here at Gallup High School until May 9. The fee is free, every Tuesday and Thursday 6pm-8:30pm in room A-109. 
  • Attention all Females in the Senior Class of 2019. If you plan to major in education (Becoming a Teacher) we have the Mildred Holmes Scholarship forms available. The deadline has been extended to April 30, 2019. See your Counselor for the application. 
  • Book Bingo players, the time is winding down to get your books read and reported on for Book Bingo!  The more rows you make on your bingo card, the more chances you will have to win a new laptop!!! The drawing will be held on May 1!  Keep reading! 
  • Preseason Volleyball has started and will be on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00. 
  • Yearbook pre-Sale is going on now, cost is $70.00 see Mr. Trujillo in B207.
  • If any student is in need of Medical/Behavioral Health services, the Gallup 
  • Teen Health clinic is open with a clinic day every Tuesday for any student. Confidential Services is always a priority.  Sports Physicals are also available to any student in need of one. 
  • Students: You may NOT be in the counseling office/career center during class time without a written pass from your classroom teacher or your counselor.  If you need to use the computers there, please get permission. 
  • New Bengal gear is here! T-shirts, hoodies & jackets (all dress code approved) stop by Mrs. Wargo’s office in counseling to check them out. 
  • Yearbook meets after school every Wednesday in Mr. Trujillo's room B207. 
  • Drama club meeting in B112 every Tuesday after school. 
  • LGBT club meets in B104 Wednesday after school and Friday morning at 8 AM before school. 
  • Key Club meets in B104 Thursday after school - we are always recruiting members interested in making friends and serving the community. 
  • Newspaper club meets every Tuesdays at 4:00 in C-109. Reach out to Ms. B with any questions. 
  • Students Against Destructive Decision will meet in the Counseling Office on Friday mornings at 8:00 a.m.  Please see Ms. Yardley in the counseling office if you have questions. 
  • Staff and Students:  The Gallup High Relay for Life Team has begun their fundraising for the year.  If you would like to be a Cancer Fighting Maniac, join us at the SADD meetings on Friday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in the Counseling office.
